Reviews, a Double Edged Sword

Reviews, a Double Edged Sword

In today’s digital age, reviews have become an integral part of the consumer decision-making process. Whether it’s a restaurant, a product, or a service, choices in whether or not you make a purchase or in our case โ€“book a companion will heavily be influenced by whether or not a companion has reviews, and if she does, what do they say?

I will not deny that reviews can be very beneficial. However, itโ€™s not so much the reviews themself, rather than what they represent.

Reviews represent credibility: Reviews allow for potential clients to feel more comfortable in knowing that a particular companion is legitimate.

Does she really look like her photos? Is she a scammer and will run off with my deposit? Is she advertising at a lower rate but then constantly up-charging at timed intervals? Was the service worth the amount charged?

Reviews provide insight and ultimately relieves a lot of stress.

For the companion, reviews can serve as free advertising and drive sales conversions, and also provide valuable insights into areas where improvements can be made.

So, why would a Companion have a No review Policy? What are they trying to hide.

As much as reviews build credibility, depending on the nature in which a review is writtenโ€”they can be very incriminating should a companion / provider fall on unfortunate circumstances. So in all instances discretion is always required. The clientele that review boards attract tend to lack discretion in preference of spelling everything out, and is nothing short of erotic writing at best, in my humble opinion of course.

I have found that there is a tier of clientele that (1) do not have the time to frequent review sites, (2) have limited time to provide detailed reviews (3) reviews, when and if provided, are much more discreet and leave much to the imagination.

I have one review. I used one platform when I first started, TER, to advertise for free. I was fairly successful without reviews and a repeat client wrote a review to help me out. However, I felt that it was too much information and said that I offered services that I considered to be on a case by case basis. I was in college at the time and I didnโ€™t want to deal with any long term issues. Shortly after, laws were passed and reviews became grounds for prosecution. Advertising platforms fell and review sites had to change their policy and practices.

Good call on my end, right.

Well, it seems that things are going back to โ€œnormalโ€ . What’s your excuse now?

Very simple. I am a control freak and I have always elected to retain all rights and ownership concerning my business to include all content and media produced exclusively on my website.  Third party websites and social media are for advertising only based on their respective terms.

Should you wish to provide a review you can submit one here or check out my current feedback.ย
